Pool Time...Fun or Not???

So, we have started trying to get Cambree into the pool. We have made two attempts, the first one was two weekends ago and it was very unsuccessful. She was not the least bit interested, I think the water was too cold and there were too many people in our community pool.

But, I tried again today...I really took my time getting her into the water. She actually cried the first time her foot hit the water, but I worked her in slowly and in the end she LOVED it!! She couldn't stop kicking and she even enjoyed her pool float. We have to be really careful because we can't put sunscreen on her, so she stayed in the shade and had a great time. Here are some pics from our two attempts.
She was crying right before this picture, her Daddy can always cheer her up!

She was just not interested in the pool.

Here we are working our way into the water.

She finally decided that she loved the water and stayed in her float for a good 30 minutes!

She was tuckered out and gave her mommy a chance to lay out!

What's New With Cambree??

Well, lots of things. She is such an amazing little girl, but if you are reading this...you already know that!! :) Anyways, since my last blog we have been to the doctor for her 4 month check up and Dr. Hampton was so impressed with her that she took her off of her special (EXPENSIVE) formula!!! YAY!!! We are so excited!! She is now on regular formula and has been taken off of her acid reflux medicine.

She weighed in at a hefty 14 pounds 13 ounces and was 24 inches long. Which puts her in the 70th percentile for weight and 50th percentile for height compared to other FOUR month old babies. Which when you have a preemie they usually don't catch up until they are between one and two, so that is AWESOME!! She is wearing 3-6 month and 6 month clothes now. So, she is just like a full term baby!

We have also started feeding her cereal once a day and next week we will start feeding her level one food. She is not very fond of the cereal, she mostly just spits it out, but it is funny to watch her learn how to eat. I am sure when we start giving her vegetables and fruit she will enjoy the flavors. She is supposed to be doing tummy time twice a day for 20 minutes, but she is not very interested in that...she usually just puts her head down and cries until we turn her over. She is getting really close to rolling, so I guess when she finally does that she will have no choice but to lay on her tummy.

So, that is what is new with Cambree...here are some pictures...I can't believe she turns five months on Friday...the time has flown by!!

She smiles all the time, but not ever for the camera.

She loves her playmat and the butterflies that are connected to it! We had to put it in her Pack n' Play so she wouldn't roll off the edge.

So, we got out her Jumperoo...and she loves it. Notice that we had to stack books under her feet because she couldn't quite reach the ground. But, she just jumps like crazy as soon as you put her in it!

Natalie's Graduation

I am proud to say that my baby sister Natalie graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington!! YAY NAT!! 4 of 4!! I am so proud!! She is going to be an elementary school teacher and is currently looking for a job.
Well, on the day that she graduated it was like the old days...the four girls and Becca & Daddy. It was pretty cool, we went to dinner without husbands or kids. The table was so quite and peaceful, I really enjoyed it!! Here are some pics.
